GERALD (JERRY) DENNIS ZENCHAK
1940 - 2020
Born and raised in Winnipeg, he enjoyed travel to Hawaii and Mexico for the heat and his perpetual tan. Jerry became a self-taught drummer. Besides holding a full time job, he spent most weekends playing in several polka bands and even recorded a couple of albums with a band called "The Continentals".
Besides his loving wife Donna, who passed away in 2013, and whom he dearly missed every day, he loved his drums and jazz music and later entertaining at the Legion.
Jerry is also predeceased by his parents, Julia and Henry (Ignace) Zenchak.
He is survived by his sisters, Joyce Chase (Buzz), Carol Harvey and Debby Baker, and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Jerry will forever be missed for his quick wit and contagious laugh. We hope he is up there with all the jazz greats - "just grooving"!
Beer is on us, Jer!

Uncle Jerry, I hope you are groovin’ along up there in heaven, back with Donna and my Dad! You will be missed! I had a great joke for you - the one about a penguin and his brother- but I’ll save it until we meet again! 😘 - Posted by: Dana Nease (Niece) on: May 26, 2020

My condolences to all of Jerry's family and friends. He was truly one of a kind! He has found his place in Heaven with Auntie Donna. Uncle Jerry was fondly called Jeru. He will be missed. Who will break the kids toys now? Who will beat on his dinner plate like a drum with utensils? Who will tell the bad jokes? To which we'd reply "Boo Jeru". Here's to you Jeru! Cheers! ❤ - Posted by: Tamatha (niece) on: May 26, 2020
