EVA DUREAULT (neé LACHAPELLE)
Born: Jul 05, 1941
Date of Passing: May 20, 2020Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
She leaves to mourn her best friend and partner Laurent "Fatty" Syrenne; her daughters, Monique (Robert Senécal), Lynne (Richard LeBlanc), and grandchildren, Natalie, Joanne, Julie, Mathieu, Megan and Grace; sister Germaine Syrenne; nephew Vincent Dureault; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Jules Dureault; parents, Antonio and Louise Lachapelle; and brothers, André and Joseph Lachapelle.
Eva was born in Haywood, MB on July 5, 1941. She was married on April 4, 1959 to Jules "Ti-Pit" Dureault. In Fannystelle, she worked on the farm, planted a large garden, raised chickens, spent hours trying new recipes, canning and freezing the fall harvest. While doing all this, Eva drove a school bus for 30 years.
Mom loved camping, fishing, Sunday drives, playing cards, music and shopping in the Sears catalogue. Her greatest pleasure was welcoming friends to her home with open arms, where they were treated to great food et un p'tit-coup.
In August 2006, Mom and Fatty left Fannystelle with heavy hearts to move to Winnipeg. Now closer to les p'tits enfants, they could enjoy their activities and dote on them.
I hope Mom will keep an eye over our gardens, send us a sprinkle of rain for the flowers and hours of sunshine for our tomatoes.
"Mémère, ta joie de vivre, ton amour et nos moments partagés occuperont toujours une place spéciale dans nos coeurs."
"Merci Mom, Mémère, repose-toi"
In memory of Eva, plant a tomato and enjoy un p'tit coup. Donations may be made to the Fannystelle church, in form of a cheque made out to: Sacred Heart Parish, Box 67, Fannystelle, MB R0G 0P0

Rick has good memories of babysitting for Eva and climbing the rickety stairs of the old garage. I remember the times Eva spent with Mum, taking cooking classes and always the laughter with the impromptu parties! I remember Eva always there with the short bus to take the kids to kindergarten. We are sending our love to you all, the reunion in heaven keeps getting bigger! Marta and Rick - Posted by: Rick and Marta Piche' (Friends) on: May 30, 2020
