EDWARD THIESSEN

The proud and loving grandkids of Ed Thiessen sadly announce his passing.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Val; brother Jim (Pat); sons, Brian and Corey (Kara); grandchildren, Dillion, Drake, Courtney, Loghan, Jared, Christian, Lana, and Maverick.
As described by his grandchildren, he will be remembered as the nicest man ever, with many stories to tell, and was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He loved supporting us grandkids at various activities, always the loudest cheerleader we had in the stands, even though there was no hope of any of us going pro. We will always remember how proud he was to introduce us to everyone he knew as his "grands". Many hours were spent with grandpa taking our ice cream orders and separately scooping out the flavours of Neapolitan.
Private service to be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.
