ADELHEID (HEIDY) BLACK
She was born to Linda (nee Neetz) and Rudolph Trapp on December 23, 1936 in Gypsumville, MB. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur Black, brother Ed McCurdy, and sister Dorothy (Dolly) Walker.
She leaves to mourn five children: her daughters, Jackie Sisco and Cora Carroll, and sons, Robert, Gary and Glenn Black, as well as 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandsons, with an eighth on the way. Heidy is survived by her brothers, Rudi, Allan, Jim, Bruce and sister Diane McCurdy, and lifelong friend Stella Remillard. There are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
Beside the joy and pride Heidy had in her family, she was an amazing seamstress who could make anything. She was a wonderful cook and baker. The smell of fresh baked bread was known throughout the neighbourhood.
Heidy will be missed by anyone who ever had the good fortune to know her. Rest in peace, Mom. We miss you.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Heidy's name can be made to the CNIB, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
