Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • We are saddened to hear of James' passing. He was always a friendly and happy neighbor. He will surely be missed. - Posted by: Edna and bill (Neighbors ) on: Jun 10, 2020

  • James was not only an employee but a great friend. As an employer he was greatly appreciated, however his work place was a second home in which he will be truly missed and will not be the same without his presence. Always wanting to show his appreciation for others. He went out of his way for his Family, Friends and fellow Comrades. Volunteering was a huge part of his life at Winnipeg South Osborne Legion. It will not be the same without him. His generosity cannot be beat. He was so proud of all of his Family. Would always tell me to prepare for when his Daughter was coming to town on the weekend. Wanted to prepare me for a couple of fireballs. He Loved all of his Grandchildren equally and when his Granddaughter gained employment in his work place, he was sure to always stop by with a meal for her. He would always tell me that I was appreciated and decided to start showing me by purchasing and placing chocolate bars in my purse when I was not looking! Jimbo, as I liked to call you, you are now with your lovely wife. Rest in Peace my Friend!!!!! Naomi and Richard Xoxoxoxoxo Lest we Forget 🙏 - Posted by: Naomi (Friend/Coworker) on: Jun 07, 2020

  • So sorry to hear that James passed away. Our one story took place at the cabin in Gimli where he insisted on sleeping in a tent and made us breakfast using our fire pit. We will always remember him as being such a caring, thoughtful friend who worked hard for the Legion. Condolences to the family and friends in Winnipeg and elsewhere. - Posted by: Wendy & Jeff Dunlop (Friends) on: Jun 06, 2020
