1951 - 2020

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, dad and papa, Daniel Gelinas, on June 4, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Yvette, his two daughters, Synove (Ivan) and Lainee (Tony), as well as nephew Chad (Tracy and daughter Taylor). He is survived by his grandchildren, Sullivan, Eden, Senon and Esmeé. He also leaves his two sisters, Diane and Claudette (Leonard), along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, Roland and Terry, his sister Linda and brother in-law Larry.
A special thank you to all those who provided care and compassion to Danny in his final days.
Daniel cared about and was very involved in his community. He was well loved by everyone who knew him.
A funeral will be held at Notre Dame du Laus Roman Catholic Church once we are able to gather as a community.

  • So sad to hear about Danny being diagnosed, and finally losing his battle with this terrible disease. I have known Danny for most of my life, and always marvelled at his zest for life, whether his being part of a teenage band, entertaining the rest of us at teen canteen, playing golf, or some of my favourite memories hanging out while playing Old Timers Hockey. His laugh was infectious, his smile heartwarming, and his friendship cherished. Lynn and I offer our heartfelt sympathy to Yvette, and all of their family.
