MARIA SPROULE

Today Thursday, June 11, 2020, I left Dodge City to reunite with my soul mate, Robert.

Now we will feel no rain,
for each of us will be shelter to the other.
Now we will feel no cold,
for each of us will be warmth to the other.
We are two bodies,
but there is one life before us.
And one home. When evening falls,
I'll look up. And there you'll be.
I'll take your hand; you'll take mine.
And we'll turn together to look at the road
we travelled to reach this,
the hour of our happiness.
It stretches behind us,
whose every turning means discovery.
Old hopes, new laughter, shared tears.
The adventure has just begun.

Adios

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I was so sad to hear of Maria's passing. She was such a wonderful, loving wife to Bobby. No two people could have been better matched. They had a beautiful life together, lived it to the fullest. They had their obstacles, to say the least! But there was always so much joy and laughter when they were around, which sadly, wasn't often enough. I know that Maria will be with Bob now and they'll be eternally happy. I couldn't wish anything more for Maria. Rest in eternal love. - Posted by: Cathie Marshall (cousin of Bob) on: Jul 05, 2020

  • We met Robert and Maria in Weslco, Texas. We went to many music jams together. I taught Robert to play three cords on a guitar. We continued to see Maria after Bob passed away. We last had breakfast with her at the “Eye Opener” last fall. We tried to phone her numerous times since before Christmas.....left quite a few messages. She will be missed. Would love to hear from the family. - Posted by: Art Shimonek and Sue Brunelle (Friends ) on: Jun 15, 2020

  • Maria was one of the world's brave people. I shared a friendship with Bob and Maria dating back to 1970. There were so many good times. Then came the years they both had to face adversity. Since Maria's beloved passed away, she was alone, but really never alone. Her family and friends loved her deeply, a love that will always endure. In her last days, I was so proud of her fortitude. Her sense of humour was never suppressed. Her resolve to manage life in her own her way unchanged in the 50 years of our friendship. Her honesty and her opinions, so respected, and so often all that was needed to change one's own pathway for the better. We will keep a chair for you while we breakfast at Stella's and remember the good times again. - Posted by: John Mansfield (Friend) on: Jun 13, 2020
