RONETTA (JOAN) BOLLENBACH
(nee SNOWDON)
Joan was born in the Blanshard Municipality of Manitoba on May 5, 1940. Her school years were spent in various towns across Manitoba and North Dakota. After graduating from grade 11 in 1958, she went into training at the Brandon Mental Health Centre and received her diplomas in psychiatric nursing and licensed practical nursing. In 1960, she married Wilf whom she first met when she was 16. Wilf and Joan moved to Clandeboye from Brandon in 1964 and in 1966, they moved to Selkirk, MB. Joan was a stay at home mom until 1978. Following that, she worked part time at the Beausejour District Hospital for 21 years until her retirement in 1999. During her retirement, she was a regular volunteer at the Betel Home in Selkirk.
Joan is survived by son Brian; brother Wayne (Audrey); sisters-in-law, Bev, Ida, Eileen and Karen; brother-in-law Clarence; nieces, Bonnie, Carrie, Carol, Angela (Mark), Lauren (Bhavek) and Alyson; nephew Wade and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Wilf in 2003; brother Larry in 2013; parents, George and Eileen; nephew Harley; brothers-in-law, Edwin and Wayne; and, several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in her memory.
At Joan's request, cremation has taken place and a memorial service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk.

Brian and family...so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom (family member). I know she was a big part of Brian's life. You were always so excited to spend your holiday time with her in Selkirk. May all of your special, wonderful memories get you thru this difficult time.
