EDWARD VAN BELLEGHEM
January 23, 1929 - June 22, 2020

Eddy will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mafalda; daughters, Denise, Laura (Ken), and Carol (Derek); grandchildren Sean (Dolly), Bryan, Tara (James), David (Tameka) and Brittany; great-grandchildren, Aaliyah, Elizabeth, Victoria, Oliver, Hannah, Charlie and Hudson; sister Cecile Beaudette; nieces, Diane (Mike), Louise, Michelle (Mike), Suzanne (Allan) and Danielle, and many grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Simone.
Eddy was born and raised in St. Boniface. He was a devout Catholic and member of the Knights of Columbus. Married over 60 years to the love of his life, Mafalda, Eddy was dedicated to his children, grandchildren and, in his later years, his great-grandchildren who regularly filled days with joy and play. A great sports enthusiast, he rarely missed attending his children and grandchildren's hockey games or watching a Jets or Blue Jays game.
In lieu of flowers, online donations may be made to Children's Hospital Foundation at www.goodbear.ca in honour of his grandson Hudson Devlin.

A private family services has already been held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, with entombment at Assumption Cemetery Mausoleum.

We cherish our memories of you, and as
we turn our gaze to the destiny that awaits
us all, we know we will meet again one day. Until then, our dearest husband, father,
grandfather, brother, and uncle please
know you will always be remembered
and forever loved in our hearts.
