WILLIAM (BILL) JOHN FOSTER
October 6, 1937 - June 24, 2020
He married his love Kathy in the fall of 1960. Together they had four children, Cyndi (Sangeeta), Doug (Jean), Joanne (Roger) and Maureen (Mike).
Dad worked hard for his family and provided many camping and travel adventures for his children. Dad had a great appreciation for all of creation and we spent every weekend in the summer months camping and canoeing. Bill and Kathy built homes together and travelled throughout their retirement with family and friends, while also enjoying all their grandchildren, Matthew, Julie, Amber, Jared, Ethan, Keira, Raegan and Mikayla. Grandpa loved all of them even if he mixed up their names.
Dad was always building and fixing things. He loved watching birds, eating raisin pie and ice cream and going out for coffee with Ernie or Davey. He was a gentle soul, who loved us, and we loved him. Thank you, Dad, for being a great Dad. We will miss you but take comfort in knowing you are together with God, full of His light and life, breathing easy, reunited with Mom and your family.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Vivian (Glen) Mitchell and MaryAnne Hoban (Dennis, deceased).
Thank you, Cyndi and Sangeeta, for the loving care you gave to Dad, it was a great gift to your brother and sisters. We will be forever grateful for all you have done for Mom and Dad at the most tender time in their lives.
A private Funeral Mass and interment presided by Father Stan Gacek will take place with immediate family. There are many family members and friends who would like to be with us and cannot because of the current circumstances. Please know we have carried you with us as we lay our dad to rest, you have all had a special place in Dad's life. So many wonderful memories over his lifetime. We thank you for your warm wishes and prayers, especially the parish family of St. Anne's Church, Petersfield.

We are so sad to hear of Bill's passing. But at the same time, we take comfort in knowing that he is with his dear wife Kathy once again. We have so many good memories of your Dad. He was such a likable gentleman and we remember his wonderful smile and laugh. I have a very funny story about him to relate to you hopefully in person someday soon. Our loving thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. ❤🙏 - Posted by: Claudia & Gary Lemke (Longtime friends ) on: Jul 04, 2020
