DORIS ANN HAVERICK
Doris is survived by her children, Ronald (Cheryl) and David (Jeane); her grandchildren, Lauren and Amanda Haverick; and her stepgrandchild Heather Matanock; her sisters, Alma and Peggy; brothers, Clarence and Donald; and many nieces, nephews and family friends.
Doris was predeceased by her husband Zenon, her parents, Mary and Archibald Gould; brothers, Albert, Bob, George and Howard; and sisters, Helen, Martha, Olive, and Violet.
Doris was born in Manitoba in 1930, and spent her youth in Fairlight, Saskatchewan. She moved to Winnipeg with her older sisters in 1944 and married Zenon in 1951. They eventually settled in St. Vital where she resided for many years before moving to Lindenwoods in 1987, and eventually back to St. Vital to retire at the Seine River Retirement community in 2017.
Doris, Zenon and the boys enjoyed many enjoyable summers together first at the Whiteshell and then at Lake of the Woods, and many warm winter trips to Florida and Arizona. But family always came first, and Doris supported Zenon in his business, and Ron and Dave in their scholastic, sports, and cultural activities. Doris was a good listener and provided calm and valuable guidance when asked. She was strong willed, independent and had the ability to always look forward.
The family would like to thank the professionals at Seine River, Victoria and St. Boniface Hospitals, Deer Lodge, and the Health Sciences Centre for their care for our family's needs over the years.
In accordance with Doris' wishes, funeral services were private. Interment at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
