PAULINE (POLLY) BEATTIE
April 13, 1936 - July 20, 2020
Polly passed away at the age of 84, predeceased by her mother and father, Mary (Jaworski) and Thomas Lupichuk, along with her brothers, Frank, Sam, George, Tony, baby Michael and Joe (Irene).
Pauline leaves to cherish her memory her husband Lorne Beattie and their daughters, Angela (Jon) and Cheryl Beattie, her brother-in-law Aubrey Beattie, niece Jo-Ann (Ken) Park, nephews, Brian (and son), Michael (Jo-Anne), Scott (Denise), and Callum (Catharine and children) along with many other friends and relatives.
Pauline was born in rural Saskatchewan, living on the family farm and later in Togo, SK. She travelled to Winnipeg with her big brother Joe and his new wife Irene. She met the love of her life, Lorne, while working at the Golden Gate Diner. They soon married and left Winnipeg to start their adventures together in Grand Rapids. They returned to Winnipeg to buy their first house and start a family.
Pauline enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking/canning, playing cards and in her earlier years, curling.
She was known to all for her needlecraft and delicious specialties: perogies, cabbage rolls, jams and pickles plus her amazing baking. Mom loved playing cards with Joe and Irene as well as Mel and Jean Short.
We would like to thank the staff at Concordia Hospital with special thanks to Tes and the team in N3West.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or Manitoba Kidney Foundation.

Lorne and family, we offer our deepest condolences on the passing of Pauline. She was a good neighbour and a kind friend. We had many visits when our children were young and made wonderful memories as our families grew up together. Pauline was such an inspiration to many with her crafts, gardening and fantastic cooking. We pray that the love of family and friends surround you during this difficult time. - Posted by: Merv and Bernice Sitka and family (Neighbours) on: Jul 27, 2020

So sorry to hear of Pauline's passing. Both of us couples were newly weds 1960 to 1963 at the construction of Grand Rapids Hydro Generating Station where Lorne and Reg worked long hours as Drilling and Grouting Inspectors for Manitoba Hydro. Pauline and Aenone spent many hours together and became close friends. All the best to Lorne and his family and so sorry to hear of the loss of a super lady. Sorry we are unable to attend her service as we have a granddaughters wedding at the same day and time.
