ANTONIETTA CELESTINA FALCETTA
(PIZZI)
April 22, 1930 - July 22, 2020
Antonietta was predeceased by her husband Angelo, father Nicola and mother Carolina; brothers, Antonio and Addolorato (Ed). Antonietta is survived by her five children, 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren,
Antonietta was born in Santa Maria, de Molise, Italy where she lived until 19 years of age. She married her devoted, loving husband, Angelo, on December 6, 1951, and shortly after they moved to Canada. Fort William, Ontario, now Thunder Bay, was their first home. Upon her arrival, she worked tirelessly to provide a wonderful home for her family. Angelo began working for Canadian Pacific Railway and soon after they welcomed their first child Palma (Chris), followed by Dan (Barb), Tony (Karen), Maria (Cal) and John (Elaine). While building a life with her family, she supported her husband's many railway transfers across the country to assist her husband's career and moved various times until finally settling in Winnipeg in 1985, and eventually retired in 1992. Antonietta was committed to spending time with her family and friends nurturing and encouraging them to reach their potential. She was active in charity work and fundraising at Holy Rosary Church and loved the church community. Antonietta encouraged her children and then her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to cultivate both ambition and a love for hard work, as well as helping others and showing compassion.
