ELIZABETH (BETTY) MAY NATHU
Left to mourn Betty's passing are her beloved husband of 50 years, Ken; daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Darren Kowalchuk; grandson Brandon; brother Ivan Vickers; sister Madeleine Crawford; special nephew Keith Crawford; nieces, Helen, Grace, Joyce, Kay and Sylvia, and nephew Grant.
Betty is predeceased by her parents, Christopher and Nettie Vickers; sister-in-law Ellen Vickers; brother-in-law Irv Crawford; sister Janet Vickers and niece Donna Gould.
Betty was born on April 11, 1930 in Baldur, Manitoba. She graduated from Normal School (Teachers College) during the flood of 1950 and went on to her first teaching job in Treherne, Manitoba. She eventually went on to complete her Bachelor's Degree and finish her 35-year teaching career in Winnipeg.
Betty was a longtime member of the Strathcona Business Girls Curling Club and a Charter member of Breezy Bend Country Club where she met her husband, Ken. She enjoyed playing bridge and was an avid reader.
At Betty's request, no formal funeral services will be held.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Liz, I’m so sorry to hear of your Mom’s passing. I have fond memories of her when you and I used to see each other all the time as kids.
