HENRY CHESTNUT
1955 – 2020

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Henry Chestnut on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at his home at Blake Gardens.
Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Edith, Henry leaves to mourn his daughter Stephanie, son Christian, as well as his two grandchildren, Matthew and Andrew.
Henry was born on September 27, 1955 and was the only child to Thomas and Edith Chestnut. Henry was always a hard worker. From working with Bronco Cartage Enterprises as a truck driver/warehouse man in the 1980s, to his last employment as a janitor at the Travelodge Winnipeg East and various jobs in between.
In Henry's spare time, he was a league bowler in the late 1980s to early 2000s, snatching up trophies every time, in either five pin or ten pin.
His hobbies consisted of collecting collectable specialty cars.
Henry knew how to fill a room with laughter and smiles everywhere he went. A dedicated father, grandfather and friend, he will surely be missed by all that knew him.
We will be having his funeral service at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre at a later date and time.
Donations can be made at the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter.

  • Hi Stephanie and Christian. I am very sad to hear about your father passing away. Your mother and my father, Peter Taylor, were brother and sister. It sounds like Henry was someone the Taylor's in Ontario would have loved to get to know. Take care of yourself. Lisa - Posted by: Lisa Taylor (cousin) on: Aug 22, 2020
