RONALD EDWARD MCDONALD
August 8, 1933 - September 2, 2020
Ron leaves to mourn Gladys, his wife of 40 years, sisters-in-law, Mabel Allen of Sudbury, ON and Rachael Allen of St. Charles, ON; Robert (Bobby) and Alex McDonald and children, Piper and Ethan of Alabama, US; Dan Loiselle and Vicky Loiselle along with their children, Abbey and Jordan, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins from both the McDonald and Buchanan side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Minnie McDonald, grandmother Annie McNiel, brothers: George, Nelson, Frank, Alfred and Robert (Bert), sister Irene, and sisters-in-law, Jeanette, Irma and Florence.
Gladys is very thankful for the 911 Operator, the EMTs, and the RCMP for doing all they could to help Ron. Special thanks to Pierre Vermette, Victor Cherwinski, and Barb Klenk for all their help on that night.
Donations in honour of Ron can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30 at Oakbank United Church. Attendance will be limited due to COVID-19 restrictions, but the service will be available online by clicking the 'Join Livestream' link on Ron's obituary at www.greenacresfuneralhome.com

Well it looks like the old cowboy has hit the dusty trail. So long my friend and one cowboy to another , you will not be forgotten. I had the chance to get to know Ron in his later years, I'm glad for the opportunity and the wisdom Ron gave me. We will ride on for you Ron.
