GORDON DAVID DOUCETTE
Gordon was predeceased by his beloved wife Linda, with whom he shared 48 years of love, adventures and much happiness.
He is survived by brothers, Albert (Joan), Edward (Doreen) and Ronald, sister Helen, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Gordon was born in Winnipeg on November 23, 1947 and proudly worked for the Federal Government for 31 years until his retirement. He was always the first person there to help with anyone that needed it, and even though sometimes it was he himself who needed the help, he would never ask.
He and Linda loved to travel and spent many summers at the family cottage where new and lifelong friendships were formed.
In accordance with Gordon's wishes, cremation has taken place. Graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street (Please meet at graveside).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation or D'Arcy's Animal Rescue Centre.

Although we lived in different countries, Linda and i were very close. After Linda died, Gordon was devastated. I tried to lift him up as much as I could. I know he is very glad to be reunited with Linda....the love of his life. I am widowed also and look forward to being with my husband....also named Gordon... someday.
