THERESA MYNDZAK
(PICKUP)
She was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on May 31, 1928. She is predeceased by her husband Rudolph (Rudy) Myndzak who passed away on February 5, 2019.
Theresa is survived by her three daughters, Marie, Susan and Cathy Meissner (Peter); along with three grandchildren, Courtney (Bobby), Riley (Dave) and Lisa Meissner and three great-grandchildren, Remington, Colton and Bentley. She also leaves family in Nova Scotia and British Columbia too numerous to mention.
Theresa grew up in Nova Scotia, surrounded by a loving family. At the age of 12, her father passed away. In 1951, Theresa left home to join the Royal Canadian Air Force, in Trenton, Ontario where she met a guy from Vernon, BC (Rudy). After about six months of meeting, they were married on December 18, 1954 until his passing. Theresa's mother followed the newlyweds to be close to family. Even though Theresa's family moved around due to Rudy's career, in 1975 his last transfer was to Winnipeg. Family was everything to Theresa and Rudy. Every year there were trips to BC to visit Rudy's family in BC that they looked forward to. They also travelled across Canada and to Arizona, but Theresa was happiest being in Winnipeg with her family.
Mom was a small woman with a smile that would light up the whole room. Once you started talking to her, you made a friend for life. She made everyone in her life feel special. Theresa and her life stories will be greatly missed by all.
