JEFFREY KENNETH WAUER
It is with great sadness that the family of Jeffrey Kenneth Wauer, announce his sudden passing on Sunday, August 30, 2020, at the age of 64.
Jeff will be lovingly remembered by his two sons, Graham (Stephanie) and Christopher (Jennifer); his mother Patricia; sister Leslie Meese, nephew Robert (Lindsay), niece Katherine (Nick); along with his Aunt Irene and Uncle Ron Davey.
He was predeceased by his father Kenneth and brother-in-law Vernon Meese. He will also be dearly missed by his friends and co-workers alike.
Jeff was born on a leap year and was excited to have recently celebrated his 16th birthday. He grew up in in Fort Garry and graduated from Vincent Massey Collegiate. Jeff worked as a Stone Mason/Memorialist for many years at Brookside Memorials. One of his greatest passions was his love of aviation, whether it was planes, rockets, or his sky-diving experience. Jeff enjoyed the hobbies of model-building and creating artistic displays. His extraordinary canvas paintings hang in the homes of many family and friends. In later years he enjoyed his frequent trips to Cuba.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Since Jeff's home was a magnet for homeless cats, memorial donations in his name may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.
The Family would like to send a special thank you to the 911 Dispatch, the first responders and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital.
Cremation has taken place.

Jeff was a dear friend of my brother Roy Kirby who has since passed away as well. Jeff was a talented painter and one of his originals still hangs at my Mom's apartment. My condolences to his family and may he find a peace...and painting. Glynis - Posted by: Glynis Fleming (Kirby) (Friend) on: Jan 07, 2022

My sympathies go out to Jeff’s family and friends. We were part of an elite group... the CBC gang’s children. We shared lots of fun stories about our parents’ antics at their house parties! Jeff was a true friend to all, always willing to help us out. I smiled about his passion for aviation. I remember when he built his first hang glider. We would all pile into his van (from his rental car job) and look for places for him to jump from. Of course none of us thought he should really do it (nor did we want to be the one to go with him out of fear for his safety). I wish you all peace and strength through your loss.
