• This is Joan Wright (Corrie) talking to brother, Jim Corrie about Irene today. I certainly knew her! Her sister Laura taught me in the little 1 rm school in gr 3, beside St, Paul Church. From there...moved back to Salter & i had gr 4 & 5 at Champlain school . Irene & Fred Byle went together quite long time he went into Air Force, but when Peter & i used to go to Roller Rink on Sat, nites , saw them on Selkirk bus going home too. Their son ..much later married a great niece or cousin ! Of ours! Would be Ada & Daltons grand daughter. So she would be a Byle ! & a daughter - in - law of Bryan Fyfe , bro of Bev Bragg & Barb is Liz Fyfe who has been on Curling team from St, Pauls Curling club in Tournamen Finals on TV ...so still have Family connections in West St.Paul.,.
