EVA MARY PLUTA
(nee STANKIEWICH)
March 14, 1933 - September 25, 2020

Eva passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Residence where she had resided for the last year and half. Born in rural Manitoba, she was the eldest of five children of Adam and Anna Stankiewich. As a young girl, her family settled in Winnipeg where Eva then spent the rest of her life. She worked at Salisbury House in various capacities and retired after 27 years.
Eva enjoyed summer when she was able to plant flowers in her yard and watch them flourish, but her favourite pastime was watching sports, with NFL football being her ultimate passion. She never missed a game and knew all the players and stats of each team which amazed us all.
Eva leaves to mourn her passing her son Brent; grandchildren, Brittni and Brody; sister Roberta (Bob), and many other relatives that made up her extended family. She was predeceased by her spouse George Strewchuk, stepson Roger; and her siblings, Bernice, Dorothy and John.
Heartfelt thanks go out to stepdaughter-in-law Karen Strewchuk as well as to the wonderful staff at St. Joseph's whose care, kindness and compassion for Eva was much appreciated.
Due to Covid-19, a small family service will be held in the near future.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
