1927 - 2020
She will be lovingly remembered by her three sons, Werner (Debbie), Erwin (Edith), and Rolfe (Virginia); six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Helmut in 2003; one brother and two sisters.
Mom and Dad arrived in Winnipeg from Germany in 1953. Mom worked as a health care aide until the arrival of their second son, and then became a full time homemaker. In 1960 the family moved into their new home they had built in the RM of Charleswood and resided on the same street for 53 years until her move to the care home. Mom enjoyed gardening, canning, auction sales, furniture refinishing, philately, and most of all fishing.

Your mom was a very sweet lady & I was always spoilt by her when I brought my mom over for a visit. Rolph and Virginia Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. You have been her inspiration and her angel while in the care home. She will now be your angel. We are saddened to hear of your Mom's passing Rolfe (Virginia) .Ever since the passing of his father Helmut, Rolfe has taken care of his mother, tending to her every need with love and compassion. Mrs. Maskus was very fortunate to have a caring and loving son like Rolfe. I am sure she will be greatly missed, but she is now with her beloved husband, safe and free of pain. Our sincere sympathy.
