ROOKES: Dorothy Rookes, beloved wife of the late George Rookes and loving mother of Ken, Mervyn, Gail, Neil, Linda and Rhonda, passed away at Elkwood Manor, Elkhorn, MB on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the age of 101 years. Funeral service will be held from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Virden, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29 with Fr. Matt Koovisk officiating. Interment will be in Virden Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Dorothy, may be made to the Elkwood Manor Ladies Auxiliary c/o P.O.
