Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or Memory
PHYLLIS ANNE FUJII
Left to cherish her memory are husband Stephen, daughter Debra (Doug), son David (Shelley), grandchildren, Melissa (Myles), Bret (Shanece), Cody, Tyler and Serena, also great-granddaughter Anayah; and brothers, Ed, Stan and Vincent (predeceased) Konopski; and sisters-in-law, Betty, Joyce and Anne.
Mom was born and raised on a farm in Dauphin, MB and moved to Winnipeg for work where she met and married Dad April 3, 1958. She worked outside the home for many years until the birth of her first granddaughter and babysat all five grandchildren any chance she could. They lived on Marshall Bay for 60 years, moving to a suite in David's family home last year.
Mom enjoyed summers with family and friends at their Caddy Lake cabin, ceramics, cross-stitching and painting. She held all the special occasions at her house and made the best perogies! Red Velvet cake usually followed the meal. She loved hummingbirds and her dog, Casper.
A graveside family funeral was held October 3, 2020.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Japanese Cultural Association of Manitoba. (JCAM).
