AGNES KELLER
(nee STOROZUK)
March 25, 1933 - October 5, 2020

With heavy hearts and fond memories, we are sad to announce the passing of Agnes Keller at the age of 87 years.
Her family and friends called her Ag, her grandchildren called her Granny and to us she was Mom. Six years after her husband John died and several years of declining health, Mom passed away suddenly in hospital, with her daughter Susan at her side.
Ag was the loving, devoted wife of John for 59 years, loving mother to Patricia (Tom) and Susan, and proud and loving grandmother to Melissa and Justin.
She was predeceased by her husband John; by her parents, Mike and Frozina Storozuk; by her brothers, John and Nick; by her sister Margaret, and her grandson Christopher. She will also be lovingly remembered by her sisters, Mary, Katherine, Helen (Gerry) and Jennie (Keith); brothers, Walter, Bill (Mary), Steve; sister-in-law Pat and brother-in-law Jack, as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
Ag was born and raised on the family farm in Arbakka, Manitoba. She had fond memories of growing up on the farm with her many siblings. She told many tales of going to picnics, baseball games and barn dances. Ag moved to the big city of Winnipeg where she held numerous jobs before meeting the love of her life, John, at Globelite Batteries. They married in 1954 and were blessed with 59 years of marriage. While raising a family, Ag also worked at Eatons and the Health Sciences Centre. Their welcoming home was always open for family gatherings and overnight guests. Many Saturday nights Ag and John could be found playing cards with family or friends.
Over the years, Ag and John enjoyed travelling in Canada and the United States. They loved when their grandchildren visited them but they really enjoyed spending quality time with them in Medicine Hat and Kanata.
Ag loved being surrounded by family. She was happiest when she could share a meal with whoever dropped in on her. In her later years, when she became less mobile and could no longer travel, she loved being able to skype and chat with family. She loved sitting outside in the summer enjoying the outdoors. Long Winnipeg winters gave her lots of time to work on needlepoint projects, watch her Nature shows, read, or colour in her adult colouring books. She was a master at completing puzzles in record time.
Ag loved and adored her family. She always was a gracious hostess who enjoyed and made you feel welcome. Her virtues of kindness and devotion to and love of family inspire all those who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface for their care and compassion.
A private family funeral service will be held at Glen Eden Funeral Home & Cemetery.

  • Rest In Peace Aunty Aggie - Posted by: April Gusta (Family) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • We met Aggie and John thru her niece Christine and her hubby Brian Nowak. Aggie was like another part of our family too. John played hockey with Grant and Brian in a seniors league and the two of them were always a part of our times together. Aggie was such a happy kind woman...who never had negative things to say about anyone. She had a love of life that was contagious and we all loved her. Aggie's was truly a life well lived. RIP Aggie....enjoy eternity with John. xxxx condolences to Susan and Pat and Tom and kids. you had one great mom in your lives..... - Posted by: MARY AND GRANT HAGMAN (FRIENDS) on: Oct 10, 2020
