  • Sincères condoléances à Mme Ouimet, Marc at toute la famille. - Posted by: Jack Nobiss (Friend, neighbor along time ago.) on: Oct 12, 2020

  • So sorry to hear of Cy's passing. After meeting Cy through his son, Guy, we would stop by whenever we would be in the St Norbert area. We were always treated like special guests with much love and caring. Our thoughts and prayers are with Lucielle and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Patrick & Pierrette Giesbrecht (Friend) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • Cy was such a good friend. He was one of the "bosses" when I joined Investors Syndicate in 1965 to learn to program the IBM computers. He never tired spending time with us trainees to develop our logic capabilities and understanding of the methods of making the big machines hop to our tune. Now that I am no longer living in Winnipeg, I have only seen him at a golf tournament or the annual pizza gathering (but lately I have not been able to make many of these. Gail and my thoughts and prayers are sent to Lucille and the family at this time of reflection and missed companionship. God Bless you every one! - Posted by: Bill Hawke (Friend and colleague) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • Mr. Ouimet was a freindly, kind and considerate man who loved a good joke. Both telling and receiving a joke. This might have been in the Ouimet DNA because his brothers and sister were very much like that. He will be missed - Posted by: Wilmar (Friend of family) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • Je garde de bons souvenirs de Cyrille Union de Prières et de pensées.. Marie Fenez - Posted by: Marie Fenez (friend) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • Cy known to us students as Mr Ouimet was a young no nonsense teacher at the St Norbert boys school. I am sure it was his dedication that I passed grades 6, 7, and 8 with flying colors. That was a time when teachers also spent time in the schoolyard monitoring, teaching, umpiring besides book learning. I was fortunate enough to reconnect with him this past year and let him know that he was my favorite teacher, bar none, and that I was proud of his sense of commitment during those years. I did and will always remember him. RIP Cy. Brian Carey - Posted by: Brian Carey (Grades 6, 7, and 8 student at St Norbert school) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • I worked with Cy (he was my manager) back in the 70s only for a short time at Investors but I do remember that wonderful smile and a very warm and compassionate man hard to believe this is going back 45+ years for me but my memories are still very very vivid of Cy. - Posted by: Sheldon (Worked at investors syndicate 1970’s in the internal audit department. ) on: Oct 10, 2020

  • I was thinking of both of you yesterday (Oct. 9th) while doing some work on the family tree and looking at the picture of the antique tiller that you gave to my brother Henri Girouard. - Posted by: Richard Girouard (2nd cousin on the Dufort/Champagne side of the family. ) on: Oct 10, 2020
