Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • Just happened to come across her obit. I worked with Gunny at Rice Sportswear on Market Street when I was 14. My father Joseph was the manager and that's where I had my first job. I remember Gunny, she was a nice lady and a hard worker. My dad would drive her home every day after work, as she lived close to Garden City where we lived. One day I remember she told my dad while we were driving home that she won the Western Express lottery and that she was retiring. I was so happy for her. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Mort Adler (Co-worker) on: Feb 14, 2025

  • I have so many fond memories of Aunty Gunny. She was a wonderful cook, baker, sewer, and Aunt. My fondest memories are of Christmas Eves and being at the house on Bannerman Ave. She was always welcoming and with a great sense of humour. She was one a very strong woman and I always admired her for that. She will be missed. - Posted by: Angela Payment (Niece) on: Oct 20, 2020

  • Deepest sympathy to all of the family. - Posted by: Carol Scholz (Veldkamp) (Former Neighbour) on: Oct 19, 2020
