RONALD WILLIAM HALL
January 3, 1934 – October 17, 2020

This day will be remembered,
And quietly kept.
No words are needed,
We shall never forget.

With a deep sense of sorrow and loss, the families of Ronald William Hall announce his passing at the age of 86 years.
Ron, who was never one to sit idle, had a full and active life right to the end. He was recruited into the Winnipeg Police Force at the age of 20 and after leaving the force, he started a career as a long haul trucker. He loved driving and the longer the trip, the more he enjoyed it. He spent the last of his working career as Secretary Treasurer for the Teamsters Local Union 979, Winnipeg.
Recently, there have been famous people who have passed away and we have been told the legacy that each has left this world. Ron wasn't famous, but he did leave a legacy; his children and grandchildren, of whom he was very proud and loved very much. He knew that they, in their own way, would make this a better world.
May we always remember his smile and his love.
The families would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of CancerCare Manitoba. Thank you for your support and dedication. Due to Covid 19, a private funeral will be held.

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I worked at Kingsway Transport with Ron in the 60s. He was a long haul driver and I worked in the shop washing trucks as a teenager. Ron always had time for me. Later in life we would share a beer at the St. James hotel. He was a super guy. Sorry to hear of his passing. - Posted by: Gary Pass (Co-Worker) on: Jan 12, 2022

  • My Condolences to Ron's family. We have known Ron for too many years to count. He was a true gentleman, always remembered any women in the group by giving us RS chocolates on special occasions. Ron and I also traded many pocket books over the years so I will miss that very much as well. Your passing leaves a hole in my heart but you won't be forgotten. - Posted by: Linda and Brian Shopka (Friend) on: Nov 24, 2020

  • My condolences to Ron’s family. I was honoured to meet him many years ago at the Airport hotel. He was always a nice caring funny charmer. RIP my dear friend. - Posted by: Sharon Sutherland (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2020

  • Ron was a true friend. We lived next door and knew him for ten years. He was a great man. He had the best looking yard by far. He was always working on it. He would be there to help you if you needed it. We will miss you Ron but never forget you. May you rest in peace. - Posted by: Fred and Nettie Narozniak (Friend) on: Oct 31, 2020
