Rob and I grew up from the age of 4 together. We played ice hockey together as kids for Ft Richmond. We lost touch in high school as Rob moved to Calgary but re connected once back. Rob will be remembered for ever for his slap shot as he used to be able to score at will. Fondest memory playing late night Spongee at Grant Park arena and one night I was to warm took off my mask and good old Rob Mets a slap shot go from the top of the circle and squares me in the face. Going to miss you buddy. Make sure to be keeping those goalies on their toes up there and till we meet again. - Posted by: Neil Reavely (Friend) on: Nov 06, 2020

Rob and I met when we were around 5 years old. We grew up together and shared a passion for hockey. He was the best man at my wedding. Throughout the years we stayed in touch and played on rec teams together. I will miss him. My heartfelt condolences to his wife Cathy and children. - Posted by: Russell Govereau (Lifelong friends) on: Oct 31, 2020

Sincerest condolences to Rob's children and entire Dinardo family. Rob was the Patrik Laine of Westridge Sponge Hockey during his playing days. His slapshot was feared by all goalies across the league and when he wound up it truly was a sight to behold. I will always treasure our time playing together. I know he will be fondly remembered by all his Tragically Ripped teammates on Sunday nights. Gone too soon Robbie. Heaven just got a big shooter. RIP Big Man - Posted by: BRIAN MILLER (hockey teammate and friend) on: Oct 31, 2020
