STANLEY PARADOSKI
Stan leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Donalda; sons, Donald (Gertrude), Richard (Patti) and Russell (Trudy); grandchildren, Maria (Omar), Crystal, Jennifer (Dennis), Lindsay (Kyle), Brandon, Aaron, Stephanie (Rory), Samantha (Evan) and Trevor (Katie), and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son David; brothers, Joe, Walter and Tony; sisters, Tillie and Helen; and his parents, Albert and Antonia.
Stan was born May 20, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and moved with his parents and siblings to St. Andrews in 1928 - a community where he then resided for most of his life. He married Mom, a Gonor girl from across the river, on May 23, 1953 and they were blessed with four sons.
Dad was a good provider and a hard worker all his life. He worked for Carling O'Keefe-Molson Brewery at Redwood and Main for 38 years before retiring in 1990. He enjoyed gardening, curling, fishing, playing cribbage and watching hockey with his boys and a warm Standard Lager. His greatest pastime though when the opportunity arose, which was often, to tell detailed stories from old memories to all members of his family. Most of all, Stan was a very kind and compassionate man who was always willing to help others.
Grandpa, you will be dearly missed and our memories with you will be cherished forever.
Our family would like to acknowledge and thank the home care workers and staff at Cambridge House who took good care of Dad and Mom for the past two years. We also express special thanks for Dad's family doctor, Dr. R.B. Lindenschmidt and the incredible Medicine Ward nursing staff at the Selkirk Regional Health Centre who kept Dad comfortable the final weeks of his life.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private burial has taken place.
