HAROLD (HARRY) MACKEY
Harry will be greatly missed by his loving partner Morna (Dolly) of 29 years. He also leaves behind his grandson David Mackey, and great-granddaughter Jessica Mackey, as well as numerous relatives in Ontario.
Harry was the oldest member of the Charleswood Legion where he had a lot of happy times with many friends. He was a Sergeant in the Airforce in the Second World War. Harry and Dolly enjoyed spending winters in Mesa, Arizona, where they made many friends. Everyone loved Harry's great sense of humour.
Harry took up wood carving in his late seventies and was a natural at it. His home displays many of his beautiful carvings.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Harry's life will take place at a later date.

Sorry to hear of Harold's passing. He leaves us with fond memories of good stories and lots of laughs. His story of losing his harmonica at the expense of his brothers makes us laugh today. Rest in Peace! - Posted by: Barb and Joe Irwin (Niece) on: Nov 07, 2020

My father, Arnold, was close to Harold. They didn’t get to see each other often but when Uncle Harold spent time in Arizona, they did have some great adventures together. Uncle Harold also attended a family reunion I hosted in Kenora in the 80’s. Another time they did a road trip together in Ontario. Between driving skills and directional aptitude, we were surprised that they arrived at their destinations. Our condolences to Mirna and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Carole Mundy ( Niece ) on: Nov 07, 2020

My condolences to Morna. Even though we lived apart, the fond memories of when you would come to Ontario to visit family will always be with me. Loved those Mackey reunions. - Posted by: Janice Chambers (Neice) on: Nov 07, 2020
