EILEEN MILDRED VARNES
April 16, 1930 - October 27, 2020

Eileen passed away peacefully October 27.
She was predeceased by her husband Ron, her sister Berniece Gingell and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter Valerie (Boyd) Kramble, her son Richard (Sigrid) Varnes, her grandchildren, Scott (Kara) Street, Chris (Michelle) Street, Rhonda (Jason) Rideout, Mathew (Kaitlyn) Varnes, and her great-grandchildren, Brienna, Turner, Zachary, Landon and Rowyn Street.
Mom worked her adult life to help Ron provide for their family. At Simpson Sears and later with the provincial government as the Executive Secretary for the Deputy Finance Minister, Mom held important positions. That was a testament to her sharp mind and attention to detail. When Mom took on a task there were no shortcuts and things were completed to perfection.
Mom's greatest pride and greatest concern was her family. Her caring and loving ways always made you feel special. Family gatherings were her greatest pleasure and she always made sure to provide a wonderful meal and some fun activity to make it all the more special. We will never forget the many Christmas at the Beach celebrations and summer BBQ's with major bean bag tournaments.
After retirement Mom and Dad moved to Winnipeg Beach where they spent 25 happy years. Their winters were spent in Texas at Magic Valley where they made lifelong friendships and countless fond memories.
Mom, you were always there for us all to provide a kind word or a kind deed. You always put us first and yourself last and we will miss you more deeply than words can possibly express. We know you will be one of God's special angels.
Due to Covid restrictions, there will be no service.
The family would like to thank all her caregivers at Concordia Hospital and Parkview Place Care Home for being there with Mom when we could not.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to either Siloam Mission or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
