VICTORIA (VICKY) WITZKE
(nee NAHACZEWSKI)
She is predeceased by her husband Gordon; her parents, Marian and Emily; her brothers, Casmir, and Bernie; as well as her granddaughter Hannah; brothers-in-law, Richard and Edwin; and her sister-in-law Sharyn.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Susan (Terry) Buss, and Lea-Anne (Carl) Bangert. As well, she leaves her grandchildren, Courtney (Doug), Lauren, Eva and Cassidy. She is also survived by her sister Mary (Mike).
Vicky was raised in the Anola area on the family farm. She enjoyed school and family life with her sister and brothers. Vicky moved to Winnipeg after high school, met Gordon, and they were married in 1968.
Vicky and Gordon raised their two girls in the Beausejour/Brokenhead area and spent many happy years on their hobby farm in Green Bay. Here, an enormous variety of animals passed through the farm to be spoiled with attention, given names and turned into pets.
Vicky had a variety of jobs, most recently working as the Tenant Resource Coordinator with Brokenhead Outreach for Seniors, which she spoke about fondly.
Family gatherings were common in her home, complete with great food, desserts, and entertaining games. Vicky loved her family deeply and always had time for heartfelt conversations. She was so proud of her grandchildren. We will truly miss our family gatherings with Nana, Grandma, and Mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 968, Beausejour, Manitoba, R0E 0C0 or the Beausejour Hospital Television Fund.
Due to COVID19, a private family funeral has taken place.
