My deepest sympathies Collette and Yvan. I first met Bert at WRCC over 20 years ago when he became a student of mine to learn how to fly radio control airplanes. Bert’s enthusiasm was contagious, he never lost that kid in a candy store excitement when he would be flying or just chatting with the guys. I’ll miss my conversations with Bert and he always spoke with such pride to be a grand-père and looked forward to teaching him how to fly. When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you will always long to return. – da vinci Rest in Peace my friend. - Posted by: Len Cymbal (Friend) on: Nov 18, 2020

Collette, we are so sorry for your loss. No words of ours will match what you are experiencing at this time. Bert was an active and important member of the WRCC flying club; an inspiration to all with his tenacity to overcome obstacles. We will miss him. - Posted by: Milton Reimer (Winnipeg Radio Control Club president) on: Nov 16, 2020

Bert was a new member of WHAM, and getting to know him, and fly with him was a real pleasure. He was a skilled aviator, and a true Gentleman who will be missed by all of us. My deepest sympathies Collette and Yvan. Bert was a very good friend for over 20 years. I enjoyed our weekly coffees and the laughter we shared over our life experiences, and was a great support to me in my time of need. He was so happy to be a Grand-pere and was looking forward on teaching him how to fly his planes. Rest in Peace my friend. - Posted by: Al Fillion (Friend) on: Nov 11, 2020
