She was predeceased by her loving father, Alberto Dimaculangan, and devoted mother, Luisa Dimatulac.
Rufina Dimaculangan Tabios was born on November 9, 1934 in Bauan, Batangas, Philippines. She was a homemaker back home in the Philippines, immigrated to Canada in April 1987, and supported her husband and children in pursuing their dreams here in Winnipeg. Inay enjoyed many things in life such as listening to piano pieces, organizing the house, walking, gardening, entertaining guests and most of all her joy and love for food and adoration for sweet treats.
She was a devoted wife and mother, a caring, loving grandmother, a helpful, generous friend and a true beauty inside and out. Inay left a huge impact on the lives of her family, and we will remember her most for her cheerful laughter and bright smile. She showed us what family is all about and taught us how to find love in each other. Inay will be living in our hearts and minds forever and always by our sides and we thank her for her endless love!
We would like to give thanks to the many friends and relatives, for their love, support, encouragement and prayers over the past few days. A special thank you to all the hardworking doctors, nurses, and healthcare staff at Grace Hospital and Maples Personal Care Home for providing the necessary care she needed.
