I am sad to hear of Roger's passing. I lived half a block from Soens Grocery on Clarence Ave. Where I grew up. As a kid it was great place to cash in my pop bottles for candy. In teenage years, we all used to spend many hours talking to Roger and Gerard (Zeek). Roger was always a friendly guy who could offer enjoyable conversations. My sincere condolences. My prayers are with you. - Posted by: Ken Huyghe (Neighbour, customer, friend) on: Nov 16, 2020

In the 1960's after school I often stopped at the Soens Grocery store for a few things. Roger was among the kind, hard working family members, while he also tried to do his schoolwork. My sympathies and prayers are with the family. - Posted by: Maria (Lannoo) Anderson (Old customer) on: Nov 14, 2020

A lovely tribute to a gracious, lovely man whose sense of humour and kindness made one feel so much better for being in his company. He enjoyed his life and relished new experiences. My heartfelt condolences to Lynn and all his family. With love, Vanessa - Posted by: VANESSA WALSH (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2020
