I looked for Ken when I had come back to Winnipeg back in 2019. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get in contact during the time there. Ken was my big brother for 3 years at a time I truly need a male figure in my life. We stayed in contact for a few years then I moved out of province. I need to thank Ken for the lessons I learned with him and through the Jaycee's, The Labour Federation and the union work he did and instilled in me the union beliefs I still carry to this day. He is the reason I worked as a steward in the union I came to join through my profession (Steamfitter) for 20 years. To Ken's family I express my condolences and respect for a humble but great man. - Posted by: Shaun Stobert (Little brother of big brother organization ) on: Jun 25, 2024

I am so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. Diane, you might remember me as Donna Dorward. Ken was always a lot of fun and had a great sense of humor. He was very involved as a volunteer for various organizations and put his heart and soul into whatever he was doing. We lost contact many years ago, but I've never forgotten him. My sincere sympathy to the family. - Posted by: Donna R Friesen (Old friend) on: Nov 19, 2020

Ken was a mainstay at NDP conventions for decades! He worked countless campaigns and was always seen wearing his baseball cap full of pins. Very nice man. - Posted by: Carmen (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2020

Most sincere condolences to Ken's family and friends. I remember Ken as a fighter for social justice and union principles. Although gone, certainly not forgotten.
