PHYLLIS (HELEN) MAYER
(nee FRYZA)
May 1, 1930 - November 12, 2020
Remaining to cherish her memory are her family Phyllis Greskiw, Darlene Mayer, Marlaine/Dan Lang, Debbie/Robert Bergman, Rose/Les Hadaller-Arnason, Val/Ron Carriere, Sandy/Greg Hagman, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
We all have special times and memories in our hearts of mom and grandma.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Raymond, son Barry, son-in-law Ed Greskiw; great-grandchildren, Dianna and Bobbie; her parents, Michael and Marianna Fryza; her siblings, Bill, Alex, Tom, Mike, John, Jenny, and Mary; and parents-in-law, John and Katherine Mayer; and her siblings-in-law, Marion, Walter, John, Helen, Valoria and Caroline.
Helen was born in Monominto, Manitoba, in 1930. She married Raymond Mayer in 1947 and they had seven children. They worked very hard on their dairy farm in Anola, Manitoba for many years. She had an engaging life on the farm and a full life raising her family. After retiring from the farm they moved to Winnipeg for a few years and then back to Steinbach/Ste. Anne area. She had faith in the Bible's promise of a resurrection to life here on earth and enjoyed sharing this hope with others.
We would like to thank Villa Youville Personal Care Home for her care over the past few years and Health Sciences Centre for their care on November 12.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial will be held on a later date.

I was sorry to hear of Aunty Helen passing away. I did see her in 2019 on my trip to visit family in Manitoba and we were able to take her outside in her wheelchair for some fresh air and a visit. She was a hard worker and a busy mom and her kids and grandkids have many memories to reflect on. - Posted by: Don Mayer (Nephew) on: Dec 01, 2020
