George was my friend, like a grandfather to me. I used to go fishing with him at Nutimik, but he always had a long list of chores before he would actually take me to his favourite spots. He told me that I was stronger than his nephew, even though I was a girl! I went blueberry picking with him when he was 87 years old. It was such a fun adventure! I used to play Alice's piano for them sometimes. And that huge Pike in their cottage was caught at Hart Lake by Alice. Rest in peace friend, you are now with your Alice for eternity. - Posted by: Monica Gerrie (Friend) on: Jan 05, 2021

George was such a great guy. I'd known him and Alice since I was a child — we made a great, but loud, fishing team. Alice's passing was a huge blow to George, but he carried on, gardening and fishing and picking wild blueberries. And cooking! George was always a fabulous cook. Going to miss him. - Posted by: Karen Haughian (Friend) on: Dec 30, 2020

I worked with Alice at Scotia Bank and she and George and I became friends. In later years, we kept in touch through yearly Christmas cards... lovely people. My sincere condolences to the family. - Posted by: Susan Brennand (Friend) on: Nov 21, 2020

George was our neighbour for many years. He loved to fish and tend to his massive garden! We send our condolences to the family and know George is now with his beloved Alice. - Posted by: Don and Joanne Burnside (Friends and neighbors ) on: Nov 21, 2020
