ROGER C. OLSON

After a long illness, we are sad to announce the passing of Roger on November 15, 2020, at the age of 89. He married the love of his life Ruby, in 1957, and they enjoyed 63 wonderful, busy years together!
He is survived by his wife and their four children: Brent, Wayne (Janet and their children, Stephen, Candice (Josh Tuzyk) and Kevin (Cailey); Andrea (Jake Wiebe and their children, Tanis, Eric, Adam, Abby (Jaron Friesen) and Erika (Justin Geisheimer); Mark (Monica) and their son Tyler; along with four great-grandchildren: Elyse Friesen, Leila Friesen, Gabriel Friesen, Silas Roger Friesen. He is also survived by brothers, Roland (Lois) in Weyburn and David (Fran) in Toronto. He is predeceased by his parents, Robert and Martha Olson; and older brother Ken.
Roger worked for almost 30 years at United Grain Growers, putting together the Grainews newspaper for farmers. He also faithfully served at Central Church of Christ for almost 55 years in Winnipeg. He will be missed by all those whose lives have been touched by such a warm, loving and gracious Godly man.
