Will always remember his joie de vivre and his willingness to help. He was always fun to have around during the many activities he volunteered with us at Foyer Valade. I will especially remember how clean he left the barbecue after flipping hundreds of burgers and hot dogs. 😊 and his tomatoes were the greatest! He will be missed! - Posted by: Danielle St Amant Wookey (Friend Foyer Valade) on: Dec 01, 2020

Rose - Posted by: Rose-Marie Devigne (friend) on: Dec 01, 2020

  • Sad to hear about the passing of Jules. We send our deepest sympathies to Yvette and their family. We were neighbours at Southglen Mobile Community. We went to the St. Timothy church. As everybody knows, Jules was a fantastic and generous gardener. Jules's helper at the garden had retired. As things seem to happen; Jules mentioned to me, Walter, if I'd be his new hand. I jumped at the opportunity. I used to bike to the garden to work the compost!! This was a huge learning experience for me. The other great thing I learned from Jules was that in many cases it was easier to work on one's knees!! He did let me do many jobs. One of them was that he did let me operate the garden tiller. After his battle with cancer, he is in a better place. REST IN PEACE, JULES!! - Posted by: Louise and Walter Wagner (Neighbour, Garden helper and fellow parishioners) on: Nov 28, 2020

  • My heart goes out to you Tante Yvette and Yvan, Daniel, Lisa and Tina. Oncle Jules was an extraordinary man with a deep sense of compassion and with amazing generosity. He will be sorely missed. I will often think of his great gardens and how much he enjoyed running his fingers through the dirt, "for fun and profit of course" My husband Graeme often tells the wonderful story of when he and Jules spent a day at the Olympic Curling trials. While going through the long corridors at the Centre Graeme marveled at how many people greeted him by name and with a smile. Universally loved, we will all remember him with great fondness. - Posted by: Colette Gentes Ottawa (Neice) on: Nov 28, 2020
