SUSIE KRAHN
November 24, 1936 - November 26, 2020
Susie was born in Neuhorst, Mexico where she lived until the age of 16. She then moved with her family to Canada and settled near Winkler, Manitoba where she later met and married Abe Krahn. They settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba and had five children.
Mom was a gentle, loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her family as no one else could and spending time with her kids and grandkids brought her the most joy. Whether it be the large bustling family gatherings in their home, or camping trips with the whole family, I am sure that every one of us recalls all the little things she did to make it special, her strong hugs and big smile.
Before her health started to decline Mom always liked to keep busy doing something, whether cleaning, flower gardening, cooking, sewing or her favourite past time, quilting. Mom lovingly stitched quilts and lap blankets for each of her kids and grandkids just as she stitched a lifetime of love into each of our hearts.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her children Clarence Krahn (Ingrid), Sandra Esau (Vern), Karen Unrau (Randy), Debbie Esau (Sheldon), and Patti Unger (Wayne). Mom leaves behind 18 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, six sisters and three brothers. She is predeceased by her husband Abe, her sister Helen and her husband Henry, and grandson-in-law Colten Plett.
A private funeral service for Susie Krahn will be held at Crossings Funeral Care on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. The private family funeral service will be live streamed. A private family burial will take place at the Heritage Cemetery in Steinbach, following the service.
"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorry, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." Revelation 21:4.
