PURIFICACION REYES SARTE
She was predeceased by her husband Jose Sarte, her son Alfredo and her daughter Vangie.
She is survived by her children, Rene, Levy, Samuel, Marilyn, Philip, Archie, Sahlee, and Jocelyn; her stepchildren, Jose Jr., Jovy, Ronalfo and Ferdinand. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Purificacion was born in Imus, Cavite, Philippines on February 2, 1938. On September 16, 1988, she, along with her family, decided to migrate and begin a new life in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked diligently in RichLu Sportswear until her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and cooking. She made sure that her harvest was equally distributed among her children. Weekends in the summertime was always spent fishing with her sons and camping with the whole family. If not, they were spent enjoying each other's company at her house. She loved cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays during baseball season. Her source of genuine happiness was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Up to the time of her demise, she has been an active member of the Church of Christ. She has always instilled in her children to put God first above everything else. Along with that, being kind and respectful to others. Her everlasting impression was the size of her heart, she was the most caring individual, always looking out for others.
