WAYNE ARTHUR TOWERS
He was predeceased by his parents, Art and Alice. Wayne will be missed by all his cousins and second cousins.
Wayne loved participating in family gatherings and taking family photos. He has family connections in Winnipeg, Kamloops and Vancouver which meshed nicely with his passion for road trips through the Canadian Rockies. He was a car enthusiast and regularly attended various cruise night and car club rallies around Winnipeg, always with camera in hand. Wayne lived his whole life with profound deafness but never let it stop him from enjoying every moment, encounter and experience. Rock-on Wayne.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospital for their compassion and care as Wayne struggled through the last few weeks with congestive heart failure.
Cremation has already taken place. As the times dictate and as Wayne indicated, there will be no service to celebrate his life. Interment will occur in the spring and hopefully afford an opportunity for family and friends to pay their respects at that time. An announcement of the interment will follow.

I barely have much free time to travel down Memory Lane here in Toronto where I live due to my work...But I was thinking of my late father today and decided to search for his close friends and Wayne was one of them. I knew Wayne Towers since I was 12 years old in 1980 and he was always a wonderful man and he was great talking with kids. He used to work for my late father: Richard Michael Ishmael at the Canadian Tire Corporation. We always enjoyed his company and he was always great to have around the family. I was shocked when I saw what happened when I searched for him on the internet. God Bless You and your family, Mr. Towers and may Heaven grant you a beautiful and joyful home. I worked with Wayne at Sunset Thermographers for a number of years. I found Wayne to be a very kind man who tried to take people under his wing - especially the newcomers. (Mind you, he also took great enjoyment in bugging people.) I enjoy my memories of him. Be at peace, Wayne. - Posted by: Pat Woroby (worked together at Sunset) on: Dec 10, 2020

Met Wayne through his cousin Barry. At that time, with all our friends, we rode motorcycles together. In the yearly 70's Wayne and I took a 3 week holiday in February, drove to Florida, New Orleans, Texas, and headed home. We had so many laughs, it was the best time of my life, it just felt like yesterday we did that. Thank You for all the great memories which you were apart of. Do not get any speeding tickets.
