KEITH ARNOLD SPRULES
He has gone to join Florence, his beloved wife and other half. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Daughter Kelly (Lance) and sons, Trevor and Rodney (Joanne) will remember the many years and laughter that they were able to share with their dad. He will be missed by family (including his many cousins) and friends.
Keith was born in La Tuque, Quebec and spent his younger years living in Quebec in several towns. Eventually he moved to Winnipeg with his mother where he stayed the remainder of his days, enjoying time with family and friends.
Keith worked at Manitoba Telephone System until he retired, at first travelling around Manitoba, then climbing poles, working in many landmark buildings throughout the city and finally in the office. Keith was known for getting things done but also for his jokes and pranks. He was a faithful Winnipeg Transit rider who somehow managed to walk in the back door the same time every day, no matter what the weather was.
Keith had several interests and activities. He was passionate about the outdoors, weather and photography. He was a handyman who did things with a twist (like an intercom in the house and a phone in every room). He became involved with the Scouting movement spending time with Trevor and Rod and also going to camps and canoeing. He took the family on many camping adventures with the tent and then tent trailer, until the family got a permanent trailer in Beauty Bay, ON. After that, the next step was the cottage at Hillside Beach where so many wonderful memories were made with family and friends, including his chipmunk and deer friends he used to make in the yard.
Keith touched many people's lives throughout the years. His dry, prankster, dad sense of humour will be remembered but also deeply missed. He was quiet but would make friends and also enjoyed interacting with those who crossed his path. He was positive through his many stays in hospitals throughout the years, always having a smile for those poking and prodding him.
A private interment will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home due to COVID-19 restrictions, with a plan to do a get together next summer for family and friends to celebrate and remember our Dad and our Mom. We encourage all who knew him to take a moment to share a memory and a dad joke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter or Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba.

Sincere sympathies on the passing of your dad. Your folks were a wonderful couple who graciously welcomed family and friends into their home and life. I recall many happy occasions and laughter with your family as I tagged along with Uncle Don and Auntie Linda. I wish you all peace as 2020 closes as losing both your parents has been life changing. All the best and lean on each other. The Mikoluff's - Rudy, Bernice, Ken, Cindy and Mark - Posted by: Cindy Harron (nee Mikoluff) (friend) on: Dec 11, 2020

Great picture with his smile. I was looking forward to meeting Keith at coffee once things returned to normal. My condolences to you Kelly and your two siblings. I was fortunate to meet you when your father arranged it at the MTS Ptge East coffee shop because I believe of our mutual involvement with Special Olympics. And then we met again in Shanghai, I have a picture I have wanted to share with him. I am sure we worked together at the Alpine Work Centre. contact thru phone directory ---------DAD JOKE Why doesn't Quick and Buick rhyme? - Posted by: Robert (Bob) Bull (co-worker and coffee-mate) on: Dec 05, 2020
