FRANCES MOSIEWICH
(nee JUSKOW)

After a life well lived, Frances Mosiewich passed away peacefully on December 7, 2020.
Frances married Sam Mosiewich on October 15, 1949 and resided in the St. Vital area. In 1953, Sam and Frances along with their one year old son Edward moved into La Salle purchasing their farm one quarter mile west of La Salle. In 1955, they had their second son Jim.
In her younger years, Frances was known as a hard worker and together Sam and Frances worked long hours improving their farm initially growing 140 acres of grain and 20 acres of vegetables. In 1957, they planted the shelterbelt around the house and farmyard, which consisted of an old two-storey house, a barn and not a tree near it. In 1962, Frances was so happy to have a new home built on the farm as she always told stories of how cold the big old farmhouse was.
Frances and Sam worked side by side for all the years they were together and even in later years growing a large garden that filled their freezers with fresh vegetables for the winter months. This is where she remained living with her son Ed who assisted her in every need and continued to do so until life became too difficult for her on the farm and she moved into Brightwater Senior Living. She loved him dearly.
Frances leaves to mourn her son Ed Mosiewich, her granddaughter Lisa (JP), their children, Carter and Kai, her grandson Michael (Tanya), their daughter Miya, as well as several extended family members.
A joy in Frances's life were her grandchildren, having only two, they were always a major part of her life right up until her last days. She loved them deeply and cherished their visits and calls.
This past July, Frances spent her 90th birthday with her son, her friend Deb, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren at her side for an afternoon of birthday celebrations, a memory made for everyone.
Frances was predeceased by her husband Sam (April 22, 2003) and her son Jim (May 23, 1991).
Special thanks from her family members are extended to Deb Carmichael, a close longtime friend, and Brightwater staff especially Kimberly Guibe and Judy Encinares. Also, a sincere thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at Riverview.
Due to the pandemic, a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the ALS Society in Fran's name would gratefully accepted.
