KEVIN DOUGLAS STEELE
December 6, 1948 November 30, 2020
Kevin is survived by his only brother Bobby (Valerie), nephew Keith (Laureene), sisters-in-law Karen (Mike) and Sherry, brother-in-law Randy (Dolly) and niece Charlene (Terry).
Kevin is predeceased by his parents Eleanor and Robert Steele, grandparents Mae (Nana) and Edward McGuiness, Eleanor and Cecil (Val's parents) as well as niece Stacy and brother-in-law Brian.
Kevin was born in the Bronx, New York City. He also lived in Montreal (West) and Dorval in Quebec before moving to Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Kevin faced a lot of challenges in his life but always pushed through them and landed on his feet. One of his proudest accomplishments was his degree from Red River Community College for Business Administration. The diploma was framed and displayed for all to see. He was his Mom's caregiver for years after his Dad passed. He had an avid interest in documentaries and autobiographies which led to a unique collection on VHS and DVD. Being a big sports fan he loved his baseball. The New York Yankees were his number one team. If you wanted to know anything about politics and presidents just ask Kevin because he was a fountain of information. Winter getaways to Florida with family and trips to Kenora and Clear Lake with Bobby and Val and the two Ellies (his Mom and Val's mom) in tow were a highlight for him. You always knew he was enjoying life when that big grin appeared and laughter along with nonstop chatter. Kevin had his moments but was really a caring, kind sweet guy with a big heart.
The family would especially like to thank Beverley for being his loving and understanding friend and companion through the years. Grateful to Karen and Mike for always being there to give Kevin a helping hand. Also sincere appreciation to the WRHA Community Home Care who provided support for Kevin.
Kevin's wishes were to be cremated and placed with his parents. Please say a prayer for Kevin whenever you think of him.
Love you to the moon and back,
Yippa Guys!

Kevin always had such a great humor and heart of gold. He enjoyed going out for supper at Maxine’s. He always wanted to pay for the meal, and would say don’t worry Young Walker it’s on me. Always enjoyed his company and special memories. Leslie Walker - Posted by: Leslie Walker (Friend) on: Jan 02, 2021
