ROSALINA DIAWOL
(nee SLOTIUK)
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Danny and daughter Janet (Scott); her four grandchildren, Adam, Nicole, Joshua and Charlotte; as well as her sister Molly Panko; nieces and nephews, and very close family friends Marian and Louis Dufault, along with countless people whose lives she has touched.
She was predeceased by her parents Maryina and Anthony, her brother Bill, sisters Eva and Olga Sabo, and her husband Stanley.
Rose was born in Ontario and her family moved to a farm in Stuartburn, Manitoba where she grew up and taught school before moving to Winnipeg where she met her husband Stan and raised their children. As a young woman, Rose worked at the Pancake House at Polo Park. Over a decade later, she worked at Opinion Place and Dimark Marketing Research, where she met many lifetime friends and later retired to enjoy caring for her grandchildren.
She will be remembered as a friendly and strong woman who made the best perogies and pies, and genuinely cared about those around her.
Rose has been cremated and due to restrictions, a private graveside service will take place at Brookside Cemetery.
Donations can be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or CancerCare Manitoba.
