IRENE ROYKO
(nee AYLWARD)

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Royko at the age of 94 years on December 13, 2020 at the
Convalescent Home of Winnipeg.
She leaves to mourn her daughter Karen (Dave Edwards), sons-in-law, Nelson Kozusko and Neil Hutsel, grandchildren, Gregory and Jade, as well as her extended family in
Newfoundland.
She is predeceased by her parents, Minnie and Peter, husband Roy, daughters, Sylvia and Kim, and grandson Craig.
Born March 24, 1926 in Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland. Irene met and
married Roy in Newfoundland before moving to Winnipeg, where they established the
companies State Window and Building
Cleaning and Winnipeg Window Cleaning.
Irene and Roy enjoyed many summers with family and friends at the cottage in Grand Beach, as well as several trips to Las Vegas with her family. Irene cherished the friendship and support of Elsie, Bernice, and April, with whom she spent many hours playing 120, a Newfoundland card game.
Irene is now reunited with her beloved
husband Roy, and they were laid to rest
together forever in a private graveside
service at Green Acres Cemetery.
