ROSALIE LUCAS
(nee ZELINSKY)

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rose Lucas with her husband and daughters at her side.
Devoted wife, cherished mother, awesome grandmother, caring sister, fabulous aunt and true friend will be dearly missed by all. Rose is survived by her loving husband Albert of 59 years, daughters Lesli (Ryan) and Alison, grandchildren, Bradley, Christine and Scott Morrison; Ashley-Rose and Brett Aseltine, cousin Rosie and many nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her parents Martin and Mary Zelinsky; sisters Margaret Lopushansky and Anne McNeil.
Rose was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and attended Norquay School and Tec Voc High School. She worked at Eaton's in the early days of Data Processing and later as an Office Assistant with A&S Homes. Mom's greatest joy was her family, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren, never missing an event they were involved in or baking their special treats. Rose was a loving, generous and caring person always thinking of others before herself. Although she is no longer with us, her loving memory and beautiful spirit will always live in our hearts.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date due to restrictions.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Never Alone Foundation or the Winnipeg Humane Society.
